Montana Heritage Center Tours

The Montana Heritage Center, in downtown Helena, is the state's official history museum. Three galleries trace Montana's past through immersive exhibits: the Homeland Gallery walks you through Montana's history from the Ice Age to today, the Russell Gallery celebrates the work of Cowboy Artist Charles M. Russell, and the Changing Gallery rotates select items from the Historical Society's vault.

  • Monday - Wednesday & Friday: 9:00 am-5:00 pm
  • Thursday: 9:00 am-6:30 pm
  • Saturday: 10:00 am-5:00 pm
  • Sunday: 10:00 am-5:00 pm
