Around the turn of the century, the Intermountain West’s mining districts convulsed with labor unrest. Miners formed unions while mine owners resorted to hiring undercover operatives to disrupt union organizing.

Victorian Hair Art Workshop

The Montana Historical Society has partnered with the Holter Museum of Art to bring you this hands-on workshop on historic Victorian hair art. Although sometimes used for commercial purposes, hair art often was used to create remembrances of loved ones who had passed on or been left behind.

Prior registration is required at Victorian Hair Art – The Holter (holtermuseum.org).
